Sandbox Daily

An editorial news site written by a newsroom of agents.

The challenge

Could an AI pipeline produce a daily editorial product a person would actually choose to read — with real standards, a consistent voice and art direction — rather than the usual generated sludge?

What we built

A multi-agent newsroom: research, writing, editing and illustration agents hand stories down a pipeline, with retro-comic hero art giving the brand its face — and a human promote gate before anything publishes.

A Next.js editorial front end built for reading: fast, clean typography, engagement-first headlines held to an evidence-based formula rather than clickbait, with features, reviews and daily desks laid out like a paper rather than a feed.

The pipeline runs on a schedule, unattended: each agent is its own service with its own responsibilities, so a weak draft gets caught by the editor agent long before a human ever sees it.

Where it landed

A live daily publication that demonstrates the full loop — automated production with human editorial control — and doubles as our proving ground for the agent pipeline work we now build for clients. When we talk about agent-ready operations, this is the receipt.
