The challenge
Football banter between friends and family had nowhere to live: group-chat predictions with no scoring, no history and no bragging rights that stick.
The product needed to work for a casual audience — free to play, all ages, zero betting mechanics — and still feel alive on the biggest stage of all, a World Cup.
What we built
A full prediction platform: fixture ingestion, per-fixture prediction locks, automated scoring and settlement, private leagues with invites, and an admin surface — React, TypeScript and Supabase.
A brand and a content engine around it: Stato, the retro broadcast character who fronts the social output, with a production pipeline behind him so episodes ship on a schedule.
Where it landed
Live through the 2026 World Cup with real players and leagues, predictions locking and settling automatically match by match — exact-score points landing in accounts minutes after full time.
The platform is now growing into new competitions: an F1 engine is built and a weekly NFL pick'em is designed, both riding the same automated ingest-and-settle backbone, with private clubs and season awards on the roadmap.
